Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, experienced Commercial Loan Originator to lead business development efforts in the greater Maricopa County metropolitan area. The ideal candidate has an established network of brokers, investors, and referral sources, and a strong understanding of private money and commercial real estate lending. This role is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and shepherding loans from initial inquiry through closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate commercial real estate loans, including bridge, acquisition, refinance, construction, and value-add transactions
• Develop and maintain relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, bankers, attorneys, and other referral sources
• Source new loan opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and market presence
• Conduct preliminary underwriting and deal screening to assess creditworthiness and collateral
• Structure loan terms in coordination with internal credit and asset management teams
• Manage borrower relationships throughout the loan lifecycle, from application through closing
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Represent the firm professionally at industry events and networking functions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience originating commercial real estate or private money loans
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting, loan structures, and documentation
• Existing network within the Maricopa County / Arizona real estate and lending community preferred
• Proven track record of loan production and deal execution
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams

Preferred Experience

• Private money, hard money, bank, or non-bank lending background
• Familiarity with Arizona commercial real estate markets
• Experience working with investor-focused borrowers
